Zellenverkettung1

As a system supplier for concatenated systems with a comprehensive range of products, we are able to offer an automation solution tailored to your particular application.
We realise highly efficient, standardised concatenated systems ranging from flexible cell solutions up to complex and integrated customer-specific factory automation, taking into account all lean-production criteria.
On the basis of the manufacturing technology, the desired degree of flexibility and the logistics framework, we select the optimum degree of automation for maximum machine utilisation and productivity.

The following concatenation variants and services are offered...

Gantry interlinked machines

Gantry interlinked machines.

In the case of concatenated gantries, the workpieces are transferred between the individual operations by way of a gantry robot (transfer principle). Several machine tools, supplementary stations and workpiece magazines are loaded/unloaded by a single gantry robot (with several independent gantry slides, if necessary).
Concatenated gantries are the most rigid concatenation variant and are chosen in case of less frequent setting-up tasks, similar cycle times of the individual machines and stable processes.
For partial decoupling of the process sequences, buffer storage can be installed.

Conveyor belt interlinkageConveyor belt interlinkage.

In the case of concatenated conveyor belts, the workpieces are provided at the machine tools by way of (accumulating) conveyor systems. The individual machine tools are loaded/unloaded by robots, gantry robots or integrated loading systems.

Interlinked manufacturing cellsCellmaster2Interlinked manufacturing cells.

In the case of concatenated cells, the workpieces are transferred from one operation to the next in container stacks, either manually or automatically, by way of an unmanned transfer system. The main idea of concatenated cells is to establish individual machining cells, as a means to uncouple the process sequences and to significantly increase the flexibility, availability and output of finished workpieces.

In this context, the Cellmaster stacking cell is an ideal basis for consistent and independent factory automation, offering ultimate flexibility and availability. In addition to the classic interfacing to a gantry robot, it is also suited for robot integration or use as a decoupling module with modular storage expansion for concatenated sections.

Flexible manufacturing systemsFlexible manufacturing systems.

Flexible manufacturing systems are characterised in that any required number of workpieces can be produced in any sequence, any batch size and at any time.
With the Palmaster product family Promot offers suitable solutions in the field of machining centres for cutting, complemented by the Prostore product family with solutions for the field of sheet metal working.
The software is of decisive importance for flexible manufacturing systems. Standardised and sophisticated solutions are here offered with the Prosys product family

Customised interlinked systemsCustomised interlinked systems.

Taking into account customer-specific, general conditions, such as the desired degree of automation, the required flexibility, the operating philosophy, logistics aspects, material flows, etc., and in our capacity as a supplier of complete systems, we work on behalf of our customers (or upon request together with the customer) to develop optimised concatenated solutions basing on a comprehensive, standardised modular system for gantry loaders, conveying technology and industrial robots.
Thanks to our many years of experience in the field of machine tool automation, we possess excellent interface know-how for the most varied manufacturers and types.

Cell computersControl computers/Cell computers.

In addition to the hardware, we also offer in-house control or cell computer programming for our customers. Besides the standardised products from the Promot Prosys software modular system, control and cell computers can also be built on the basis of a performance specification and thus tailored to the customer's needs.

SimulationSimulation.

In addition to cycle time analysis for the individual automaton components, simulations can be elaborated for more complex concatenated systems and production processes.
The objective of simulations is to confirm pending decisions in the planning and extension of manufacturing systems. The states and interactions of all components involved in the production process are represented and analysed using an appropriate model.

Factory planning.

We are partners for industry in the fields of system layout and logistics planning, whether for new systems, for the restructuring of existing installations or for the realisation of extensions.
We assist you in your successful implementation of "Manufacturing Excellence" by way of joint workshops based on our set of methods.
